Put your ear down to the burdened, agonized heart of humanity, and listen to its pitiful wail for help. Go stand by the gates of hell, and hear the damned entreat you to go to their father's house and bid their brothers and sisters, and servants and masters not to come there. I really liked Oswald Chambers' quote but especially Hudson Taylor. My uncle is a missionary to Myanmar under OMF, which is the missionary organization in which Hudson Taylor was the founder. I just read your story about the house and God is truly amazing! I know how hard it can be especially when you're a missionary. (My uncle had a lot of similar problems, but God has been and always will be faithful) But the joy of the Lord is our strength and that keeps us going right? :)
I hope to see you in China one day.

i didn't think i'd reach the end of the list, but as i read, it became simultaneously encouraging and discouraging. it's encouraging that there are people w/such global visions and faith in the unseen. it's discouraging, i suppose, that i already struggle w/in the little world i've made for myself.

I have been a minister in Scotland for 25 years. The greatest part of our problem is that we have the wrong vision. We think that by modernising worship, making our presentation more trendy etc, we will achieve relevance. We will only see people won to the Lord, when there is passion among the Lord's people to love one another and a compelling desire to reach the lost. All else is superficial. This site only serves to re-emphasise the fact that our passions in church are too centred on ourselves. We need to listen most carefully today to the church in China.

I love Leonard Ravenhill!
I also love Keith Green's music, much of it parallels what Ravenhill is so passionate about, being that they were friends. I really love LR's book "Why Revival Tarries" which is more of a call to prayer. How appropriate.

I am a musician, and I would be honored if you would check out my site. LR has inspired some of my songs. All my music is free for download. Anyway, I just thought I'd share.
