JHOP BOSTON-UPRISING

Dear Campus Church leaders and Friends,

We appeal to you who are unsatisfied with the oppression that haunts the students of our universities. For to long, humanism has worn down our spiritual senses, reducing us to a numb all-American life. We pass each day believing that we are powerless, perplexed with our inability to create effective change in the deadened world around us.

Yet there is a breath of hope gushing forth from the voice of the prophet. They say we are standing at the threshold of another Great Awakening. In 2003, Kenneth Hagin, a father of the Charismatic movement, declared that 2006 would be a glorious year of “heaven on earth.” Earlier this year, Dutch Sheets had a profound encounter with the Living God where the Lord proclaimed that 2006 would be “the year that the lid comes off of the youth movement.” But perhaps the most crucial utterance for Boston in this hour is Derek Prince’s prophetic word in 1972: “Boston is the Jericho of America and when the walls of intellectualism come tumbling down, the Lord will pour out His Spirit upon the whole land.”

A casual approach to these prophetic words could be the undoing of a generation that has grown up only reading and hearing stories of national revival, but never experiencing the in-break of the Holy Spirit for themselves. The prophetic is an invitation for intercession to lay hold of these promises. Already we have heard of reports out of universities like Asbury College in Kentucky, that speak of glimpses of revival birthed by continual intercession.

As you stand on the stage on which history has placed you, we offer you the weapons of Daniel’s prayer and fasting, of Ezekiel’s sacrifice for the manifestation of the prophetic and David’s radical devotion. From March 1st to April 9th we will make Harvard the flash point to gather Christian university students for 40 days of fasting and 24/7 prayer in order to contend for our campus’s awakening. We ask that you would sacrifice as little as your spring break or the entire 40 days to battle in corporate prayer and fasting. Come forth from your personal prayer closets and join others who are willing to wage war over the direction of America’s training grounds.

“Gather my saints together to me, those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.” Ps. 50: 5

Will you awaken your hearts from a passive spirit? Live as Davids in this hour, refuse to tolerate the Philistines, take up the sling and stones. We call the average to lift up their voices and talents before the throne of God. Even the simplest of prayers can arouse a bone-shattering “Amen!” from hosts of Angels. For too long our ancient foes of humanism, secularism and intellectualism have dominated our campuses. Surely, God Most High will usher in a victory if we cry out.

We are calling for a core team to commit to stand with us for the full 40 days. May it not be said of us that we were so consumed with our own agendas, plans, and the cares of this world that we missed our chance to be the hinge of history for our generation. For those who cannot come for the 40 days, we invite you to come for a week, challenging you to sacrifice your Spring Break not feasting and playing, but rather fasting and praying. Let us take this opportunity to pound on the gates of heaven, provoking God to unleash His divine favor upon our generation.

The House of Prayer will be at First Baptist Church located on 5 Magazine Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts, just blocks from Harvard. Details and logistics will be posted online at our website (www.jhopboston.com) within the next few days. For more information about inexpensive housing for those who wish to commit to more than a week, please contact Abigail Brown at 631.680.6708 or at housing@jhop.org.

UPRISING: March 1-April 9

The Uprising has begun. From March 1 to April 9, we are calling all students and young adults to scrap their Spring Break plans and come to Boston and make Harvard a flashpoint to contend for the universities of this nation. For too long, students have cowered under the shadows of the giants of secularism, humanism and pluralism, but that time is now up. A generation is rising that refuses to live in the shadows of these giants, but believes for an alternative future of campus awakening and reform.

For these 40 days, we will be praying and worshiping day and night around the clock. We believe that now is the hour for massive fasting and prayer to be directed toward the universities for the in-break of the Kingdom, to resist the agenda of secularism and humanism, and for the release of a new Student Volunteer Movement of missionaries from universities.

This season will be intense both in fasting and prayer, but it will be of eternal significance. So whether you come for one week during your spring break or come for the entire 40 days, make plans now to join Lou Engle and other national leaders for the Uprising!

For years during spring break, a generation has known to feast and play. Now it is time to fast and pray!

For more information concerning The Uprising from March 1 to April 9 and for those interested in being part of the core group of intercessors for the entire 40 days, please email info@jhopboston.com. More details concerning the Uprising will be posted here in the next few days.

Faithfulness & Honesty

Recently I've been thinking alot about "faithfulness" and the responsibility that comes with it. God has simply been reminding me to be faithful in my love for Him and others. Much has been happening lately and at times it is easy to get lost in all the activity that is going on. Yet, I have to keep reminding myself to stay focused on Him and simply stay focused on those He entrusts to me. I read 1 Kings 18-19 last night. Elijah was a man of faithfulness. He prayed, fasted, fought like a hero and also was real with God about his frustrations. One moment he is up, the next moment he is down. I feel that way at times. My passion and zeal ride high at one moment, the next moment I can be easily discouraged. I guess its the personality of a prophet. It seems Jeremiah was much the same way. God's grace is there though. And through it all, somehow if our hearts are right, we make it to the finish line. I don't want to just make it though, I want to cross the line with strength. When I die I want to be known as one who was faithful and at the same time "honest". Elijah was "faithful" and Elijah was also "honest". He didn't have it all together, he felt like giving up and dying at times, yet because his heart was loyal to God, God saw him through. In 1 Kings 19 Elijah goes from seeing God speak and show up in fire at Mt. Carmel to all of a sudden wanting to die & give up. It was in this state he eneded up finding God in sleep, rest and 40 days of prayer and fasting until he heard God's voice in the gentle whisper of silence. It is here on Mt. Horeb that he receives his final instructions, his life message and most powerful assignment. He anoints the next generations (Jehu, Elisha, etc) and through spiritual reproduction all of his enemies are destroyed (Ahab, Jezebel). He learned and began to walk in a wisdom and maturity that only God could have taught. I want that wisdom, I want that maturity, I desire to experience that grace. Father let me hear Your gentle whisper, keep my eyes on You, meet me on the mountain and do not let me get so caught up in the battle that I forget to hear Your instructions. I desire to be faithful, to be honest in all my dealings and to finish the work You have assigned for me to do.

I read this yesterday about Billy Graham. Now over 85 years old he was asked what do you want to be remembered for. He said something like, "I want to be remembered as someone who was faithful to God, faithful to my family and faithful to the calling God had for me to do." I desire that more than anything else at this point in my life "faithfulness" not success, not for God to win my battles, not for me to be a better leader, not to be perfect, but rather a few simple things.

God I want to be faithful.
I want to be faithful to You.
I want to be faithful to my family.
I want to be faithful to my future family.
I want to be faithful to every friendship.
I want to be faithful to the calling on my life.
I want to be faithful & that means I can also be honest.

I can feel like giving up at times, but may faithfulness overcome each time.

Prayer Request: WCC Conference!!

Dear Prayer team,

This weekend I will be heading up back to Northern California to do another major conference called "World Christian Conference" in Santa Cruz. After this conference I will be focusing most of my speaking and training in Los Angeles and occasionally in Northern California but resting from most intnl and outside California domestic travel engagements for a season. Please pray for this weekend as it is another very strategic conference.

Over 400+ young adult Asian Americans who have a call to full-time missions will be joining this conference to learn how to think Global but act local. I will have the honor of training them to "DO CHURCH WHERE THEY ARE" by training them to plant simple churches in their current locals in preparation for missions in unreached nations.
This could be a breakthrough among the Asian American Church community in Cali. Pray the vision catches FIRE!

Please pray...
1. Traveling mercies as I leave by car at 8am with Ben Hui and other good buddies
2. The Holy Spirit to orchestrate a divine outpouring of His power and conviction for revival
3. Pray for divine connections as many strategic leaders on the mission field will be there for the harvest
4. Pray that our training will empower and envision asian american young adults to live out missional lives here in Nth America to the ends of the earth and many new churches will be planted as a result
5. Ask God to send many more asian americans to the campus harvest fields of East Asia back to Jerusalem and into the workplaces of EA to finish the Great Commission in our generation.

Thank you all for your prayers. The conference website for more info is...

Cal State Long Beach- Revival Report

A praise report of what God is doing at Cal State Long Beach from our student leader Karla...amen Lord send revival fire!!!!!!
-----------------------------------------------------------

Hey Jaeson,
guess what.

today we were having public worship/prayer in the middle
of CSULB and God doubled our numbers from last week.
Our circle just kept getting bigger and bigger, we had to
keep spreading out in the field...people kept walking up,
seeing what was happening...some stayed for a song or two
and left..some stayed and prayed w/us.
But I could feel God's presence SO THICK..it was
amazing. He kept bringing me to my knees..i couldnt even
stand, His presence was so strong.
God kept bringing up Bible passages to my mind and we
prayed each of the scriptures..at the top of our
voices..and tim led worship...some christian students I'd
never met before came and prayed the whole time with
us..and all said they would return tomorrow.
God is really at work!!! we have devoted our lunch hour
each day to public worship and prayer.

I kept feeling like i should pray for people around us and
went and prayed w/some girls sitting nearby...and then
there was this tiny asian woman doing aerobics like right
behind us.
and i heard God say, 'go talk to her'. but i was like,
God, no, I don't want to interrupt her aerobics...but i
went over to her..and was like..umm..do you want to join
us? we're worshipping Jesus. and she was like, I know! I'm
a christian. and she said that she's seen us out there
each day, and has been praying for us. and she works in
the library and told us to come pray with her in the
library. so i asked if she knew any other christian
workers/staff on campus and she gave me their contact
info!
Whoa, God totaly orchestrated that!!

then, steven and another guy felt like they should just
talk to people at random tables on campus, and ended up
praying with alot of students..and right as they were
about to go home, God told them to talk to one more guy,
and they ended up praying w/him and leading him to
Christ!!!
Last week, when we went out evangelizing, another guy
accepted Christ, so now we have two people to have organic
church with. Its so amazing how God is just bringing this
all together. i had so many questions before about campus
churches, but now its just like spontaneously happening
before our eyes...God is just doing all the work. I'm just
so excited to be a part of this.
ok, one more praise report:

I had been wanting to advertise the 24 hour prayer time
coming up at long beach..and didn't know how to get more
word out about it...and God gave me a picture last night
of me writing a letter and putting it in mailboxes. but i
didn't know how the heck i should go about doing that.
and last week at my church, a woman prayed over me and
told me to announce the 24 prayer at the sororities on
campus. but i didn't know how i could get in contact w/the
sorority leaders, ect...
and today i went to the student union and stood outside
the sorority office 'headquarters' room...and was like
standing there biting my nails, not wanting to go in
there...i can't stand sororities...
and this girl walked up who had been at our prayer time
earlier.
and i asked her what i should do...and she said, that the
most effective way to tell the sororities/clubs on campus,
would be to write a LETTER and put it in each of their
mailboxes, or give the letters to the mainheadquarters
office.
SO that was a confirmation....so i'm gonna get cracking on
the letter and make a ton of copies to put in mailboxes on
campus tomorrow. hehe. Its so awesome how God just keeps
telling us the next step..when I don't know what to do..He
reveals it in a different way. i love it.

ANYWAY...
i just wanted to share these praise reports.
thank you for your prayers.

UCLA- DAY 23 in 40 Days of Prayer for revival

DAY 23 in 40 Days of Prayer for revival
First of all, so many of you have recently asked me to add your friends to the daily 40 days revival report so instead, at this point, it is posted daily for all/any to read at www.40daysofprayer.blogspot.com – feel free to forward this link to any who have been or will be in prayer rooms—it will fire them up to keep praying for their own and other campuses.

Now, for the fun stuff!! The UCLA prayer room was spectacular—and one of the cutest/funniest things (and a first for a prayer room that I remember) is that each banner (revival prayer, prayer wall, communion, confession) was in Bruin blue and gold! I love itJ! But, oh man, the power of God was “all over that place.” In fact, the most “fired up” moment for me was when Jaeson Ma, one of the campus ministers at UCLA, prayed over the map of UCLA. As He was praying, he realized that the campus perimeter was in the shape of heart! He began to pray for the campus to have Burning Hearts…mentioning the “well that had been dug” by the 1947 Burning Heart Fellowship (of Mears, Halverson, Bright and Evans) for/on that very campus that birthed nationwide revival on campuses by 1949-50. I kid you not, within a few minutes—I honestly can’t remember how or what occurred—but the few candles on the fireplace mantle directly below the map increased their reach up and started the map on fire. In a panic-humor-“uh oh” moment, a few people quickly blew the fire out—but we ALL just were strangely shocked on how that happened. Then I laughed out loud and shouted, “Jaeson, you prayed for that—burning hearts on UCLA campus!!!” I left shortly thereafter and heard the next day that 50-60 kids streamed into the room around 11 and stayed until 3 pm just crying out for revival! Wow!! There was an answer to our prayer—and immediate outpouring of the Holy Spirit for that campus!

UCLA "BURNING HEART REVIVAL"

Hey bros & sis,

It BROKE OUT last nite around 11pm-3am at UCLA. Students started showing up and a spirit of revival fell out of no where. Students all over the room started CRYING OUT to God for the UCLA campus and it kept going for a few hours. There were student leaders from all different campus fellowships in the room. It was powerful, I thought I was in prayer mountain Korea or a underground Chinese house church meeting. The fire is burning, can you believe that we had a "map of UCLA" on the
wall with the word "REVIVAL" on the top and candles lit under it. All of a sudden the 2 Chron 7:14 banner that was under the map caught on fire and SMOKE filled the entire map and room. Later we looked at the map of UCLA and it was shaped like a "heart." Becky took it as a sign from God that this was a

"BURNING HEART" of UCLA. Yes, the very burning heart contract Bill Bright made 50 years ago before he started Campus Crusade for Christ. The well is re-dug, the fire is being re-lit...ITS TIME!!!!!! Pressing In!

PRAY FOR UCLA 24/7 & EPIC CONFERENCE!

Dear prayer team,

I am three words right now "IN THE ZONE" revival prayer has been breaking out on college campuses across the nation. In specific Asbury College is experiencing another great awakening & it all started through "student-led prayer cells" this
strategy rings true in every historic college revival of the past "students simply getting on their faces in united prayer for God's power to show up!" I LOVE IT! Before I get too EXCITED I know this is all just humble beginning of what God is going to pour out in the coming days once again on university and high school campuses of America. I've never felt such focus and intensity to pray and fast for student awakening since the early days of THE CALL movement. We are certainly in a KAIROS moment and hour. Which brings me to asking you for major prayer this weekend....for our UCLA 24/7 prayer room and I am speaking at a major Asian American college student conference called EPIC in Norcal.

Prayer Points:

0. Pray against COLD. Yesterday someone passed a cold virus to me, I've been fighting th symptoms all day yesterday and today. I WILL NOT BE SICK in JESUS NAME AMEN! Pray in agreement for divine healing and health.

1. UCLA 24/7 PRAYER ROOM
(Feb 8-9, 6pm-6pm) Our student leaders along with other students from different campus ministries are uniting together in "night and day" worship and intercession for God's revival glory to fall at UCLA. It starts at 6pm today and ends at 6pm tomorrow. Please pray that the power of God shows up and encounters UCLA once again.

a. Pray for a spirit of repentance, confession and restitution be released for cleansing UCLA and the Body of Christ from its sins
b. Pray for a GREAT AWAKENING of God's love, power and manifest presence be ushered into the prayer room and overflowing onto campus!
c. Pray for the WELL OF REVIVAL to be re-dug through the seeds of BILL BRIGHT (Founder of Campus Crusade) who founded CCC at UCLA more than 50 years ago. That Campus Crusade for Christ movement was a radical, prophetic, pioneering student revival movement of its day, its time for
another prophetic move of God's power to sweep through UCLA and into LA and the Nations once again!
d. Pray for REVIVAL at UCLA period.
e. check da site: http://ucla.etherip.com/prayer/

2. EPIC CONFERENCE: CAMPUS CRUSADE (Feb
10-12) (www.epicconference.com)
This weekend I will be speaking to over 200 Asian American student leaders and
staff at Campus Crusade for Christ's pacific west coast revival conference in Santa Clara California. I truly believe this gathering will be historic as CCC
has been partnering together with us to see simple church movements multiplied on college universities all across the US and Nations...a few target prayers..

a. Revival Thru Asian American students on West Coast:
It has always been my conviction that revival in California would start among
Asian American students on college campuses. This conference could very well be that STRIKING POINT where a spirit of revival goes from this conference back to almost every major college campus in the West Coast from Norcal to Socal.
b. Holy Spirit to fall in power
Pray the fire of God falls, hearts are turned back, minds transformed and lives laid down for God's GLORY in their generation
c. Student Volunteer Missions Movement to East Asia back to Jerusalem A student volunteer missions movement to spark among Asian American College Students at EPIC to EAST ASIA BACK TO JERUSALEM. I will be releasing a challenge as I have at every other conference for students to give up their lives to at least 2 years of missions in East Asia TO JerusaleM. This is the first time I will partner and challenge Campus Crusade and IV students to this!
d. REVIVAL at the conference
Pray students receive the in-filling and power of the Holy Spirit and REVIVAL FALLS IN FULL MEASURE AT THE CONFERENCE
e. PRAYER AND SIMPLE CHURCH MOVEMENTS TO START ON WEST COAST CAMPUSES EVERYWERE!
A spirit of prayer is released on the student/staff leaders, they start prayer revivals on their campuses and START SIMPLE CHURCH MOVEMENTS on every college campus in the West Coast!

I am praying and I am thankful that you are praying. IT IS TIME TO PRAY LIKE NO OTHER RIGHT NOW. We are under an open heaven and it is only in prayer that God's Holy Spirit may visit in power as one pastor told Evan Roberts the young 13 year old who led the Welsh revival in 1904 because of dedicating himself to prayer. IT'S TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets do dis....for God's GLORY!

Revival Continues At Asbury College!

Chapel continues today

http://www.asbury.edu/press/chapeldaytwo06

WILMORE, KY—Praise, worship and release continue as students are still gathered around the altar in Hughes Auditorium where they have been since Monday. After today’s powerful chapel celebrating the work of the Holy Spirit on the Asbury College campus, God’s work carries on.

President Paul A. Rader led the chapel service this morning as students, for the last three days, have converged on Hughes Auditorium for prayer and intercession for the campus and worldwide community.

“God continues to move across the campus,” said Dr. Paul A. Rader. “We have had students in Hughes Auditorium continuously since Monday at 10 a.m. when God came in such power and blessing during our Student Chapel. Last night at midnight there were several hundred in Hughes. Some stayed until 4 a.m. We met for a Prayer and Praise Chapel this morning with an awesome sense of expectation. God did not disappoint us. From the first praise chorus students began coming to the long altar at the front of the auditorium. Soon the altar was crowded with students again. There was incredible freedom in the Spirit as we sang and prayed and shared testimonies of God’s gracious work in the hearts of students.

“It has been wholly the work of the Spirit, who moved numbers of our students to passionate and persistent prayer in small groups over the past several months.

“There has been a wonderful sense of the Spirit’s ordering. We have been spared excesses and unhelpful sharing. Students have spoken with such wisdom and spiritual maturity. Scriptures so well chosen and so powerfully used of the Lord.

“We do have this wonderful sense of the constant presence of God on this campus—and He is palpably and preciously present to us today.”

Junior Jonathan Grant of Mishawaka, Ind., stayed in the auditorium until 3 a.m. Wednesday and returned again at 7 a.m. A late night or an all-nighter schedule typically witnessed during finals week, is being used to praise and worship God.

“People kept saying, ‘It doesn’t matter if this ends in five minutes, what matters is what we do when we leave here—how this changes us.’ God has become real to me and I have a responsibility and a gift to take and share with the world.”

Stacy Stevens Hall, a senior from Knoxville, Tenn., talked about the response from the local and nationwide community.

“We are excited. It’s amazing that God is using this time to call others to pray for Asbury College around the world. The news is spreading quickly and people want to join in the celebration.”

Junior Emily Roberts from Sunapee, New Hampshire described her experience in Chapel Wednesday as a romance—having loved God all her life and finally realizing that God loves her in return.

She illustrates her experience as being like when Lucy meets Aslan in “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” by C.S. Lewis.

“Then her face lit up till, for a moment (but of course she didn’t know it), she looked almost as beautiful as that other Lucy in the picture and she ran forward with a little cry of delight and with her arms stretched out. For what stood in the doorway was Aslan himself, The Lion, the highest of all High Kings. And he was solid and real and warm and he let her kiss him and bury herself in his shining mane. And from the low, earthquake-like sound that came from inside him, Lucy even dared to think that he was purring (169).”

Thank you for your interest and your prayers. To God be the glory and great is His faithfulness.

Formula for A Burning Heart, AW Tozer

Formula for a Burning Heart – A.W.TOZER

1. Get thoroughly dissatisfied with yourself.
Complacency is the deadly enemy of spiritual progress. The contented soul is the stagnant soul. When speaking of earthly goods, Paul could say, “ I have learned … to be content”; but when referring to his spiritual life, he testified, “I press toward the mark.” Stir up the gift of God that is in thee.

2. Set your face like a flint toward a sweeping transformation of your life.
Timid experimenters are tagged for failure before they start. We must throw our whole soul into our desire for God. “The Kingdom of God suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.”

3. Put yourself in the way of the blessing.
It is a mistake to look for grace to visit us as a kind of benign magic, or to expect God’s help to come as a windfall apart from conditions known and met. There are plainly marked paths which lead straight to the green pastures; let us walk in them. To desire revival, for instance, and at the same time to neglect prayer and devotion is to wish one way and walk another.

4. Do a thorough job of repenting.
Do not hurry to get it over with. Hasty repentance means shallow spiritual experience and lack of certainty in the whole life. Let godly sorrow do her healing work. Until we allow the consciousness of sin to wound us, we will never develop a fear of evil. It is our wretched habit of tolerating sin that keeps us in our half-dead condition.

5. Make restitution wherever possible.
If you owe a debt, pay it, or at least have a frank understanding with your creditor about your intentions to pay, so that your honesty will be above question. If you have quarreled with anyone, go as far as you can in an effort to achieve reconciliation. As fully as possible make the crooked things straight.

6. Bring your life into accord with the Sermon on the Mount and such other New Testament Scriptures as are designed to instruct us in the way of righteousness.
An honest man with an open Bible and a pad and pencil is sure to find out what is wrong with him very quickly. I recommend that the self-examination be made on our knees, rising to obey God’s commandments as they are revealed to us from the Word. There is nothing romantic or colorful about this plain downright way of dealing with ourselves, but it gets the work done. Issac’s workmen did not look like heroic figures as they digged in the valley, but they got the wells open, and that was what they had set out to do.

7. Be serious – minded.
You can well afford to see fewer comedy shows on TV. Unless you break away from the funny boys, every spiritual impression will continue to be lost to your heart, and that right in your own living room. The people of the world used to go to the movies to escape serious thinking about God and religion. You would not join them there, but you now enjoy spiritual communion with them in your own home.
The devils ideals, moral standards, and mental attitudes are being accepted by you without you knowing it. You wonder why you can make no progress in your Christian life. Your interior climate is not favorable to the growth of spiritual graces. There must be a radical change in your habits or there will not be any permanent improvement in your interior life.

8. Deliberately narrow your interests.
The Jack-of-all-trades is the master of none. The Christian life requires that we be specialists. Too many projects use up time and energy without bringing us nearer to God. If you will narrow your interests, God will enlarge your heart.
“Jesus only” seems to the unconverted man to be the motto of death. But a great company of happy men and women can testify that it became to them a way into a world infinitely wider and richer than anything they had ever known before.
Christ is the essence of all wisdom, beauty and virtue. To know Him in growing intimacy is to increase in appreciation of all things good and beautiful. The mansions of the heart will become larger when their doors are thrown open to Christ and closed against the world and sin. Try it.

9. Begin to witness.

Find something to do for God and your fellow men. Refuse to rust out. Make yourself available to your pastor and do anything you are asked to do. Do not insist upon a place of leadership. Learn to obey. Take the low place until such time as God sees fit to set you in a higher one. Back your new intentions with your money and your gifts, such as they are.

10. Have faith in God.
Begin to expect. Look up toward the throne where your Advocate sits at the right hand of God. All heaven is on your side. God will not disappoint you.

If you will follow these suggestions, you will most surely experience revival in your own heart. And who can tell how far it may spread? God knows how desperately the church needs a spiritual resurrection. And it can only come through the revived individual.

REVIVAL AT ASBURY COLLEGE!!!

DEAR BODY OF CHRIST,

I HAVE BEEN PRAYING FOR REVIVAL ON COLLEGE CAMPUSES FOR OVER 7 YEARS. TODAY I CAN TRULY SAY THAT I BELIEVE REVIVAL HAS HIT THE UNIVERSITIES OF NORTH AMERICA. BELOW IS THE RECENT STORY OF ASBURY COLLEGE IN KENTUCKY EXPERIENCING A WAVE OF REVIVAL LIKE DAYS OF OLD. SINCE 10 AM TWO MORNINGS AGO AT THEIR MORNING CHAPEL, HUNDREDS OF STUDENTS HAVE BEEN PRAYING AND SEEKING GOD'S FACE NON-STOP! EVEN AS I TYPE THIS EMAIL THEY ARE PRAYING & WORSHIPPING RIGHT NOW. REPENTANCE, PRAYER, CONFESSION, BOLD WITNESS AND SALVATIONS ARE HAPPENING. NOT ONLY THIS BUT WE HAVE NOW RECEIVED REPORTS FROM NEARLY 40 + UNIVERSITIES ACROSS AMERICA THAT HAVE 24 HOUR PRAYER ROOMS AND SIMILAR FRUIT TAKING PLACE FROM SINS CONFESSED, RENEWAL TO DIVINE HEALINGS.

THIS MORNING I SPENT TIME PRAYING AT THE 24 HOUR HOUSE OF PRAYER IN DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (RHOP) WHEN I BEGAN TO PRAY FOR REVIVAL ON THE CAMPUSES I SENSED SUCH A INTENSE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT I BEGAN TO ASK GOD WHAT WAS THIS INTENSITY I WAS FEELING IN MY PRAYER? IN MY SPIRIT I HEARD TWO WORDS "RAIN FALL"

AS I BEGAN TO PRAY INTO THESE TWO WORDS I WAS IMPRESSED THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT IS RELEASING "RAIN FALL" ON CAMPUSES ALL OVER THE UNITED STATES RIGHT NOW FOR A FULL BLOWN REVIVAL THAT WILL RESULT IN A GREAT HARVEST NO EYE HAS EVER SEEN AND NO EAR HAS EVER HEARD.

I URGE YOU BODY OF CHRIST TO DEDICATE YOURSELF TO PRAYER AND FASTING THESE FIRST MONTHS OF THE YEAR. I SENSE THE FIRST 90 DAYS OF THIS YEAR WE ARE TO PRESS INTO RADICAL PRAYER AND FASTING LIKE WE NEVER HAVE BEFORE AND CONTEND FOR REVIVAL DAY AND NIGHT THROUGH VIOLENT INTERCESSION. WE ARE IN THE MIDST OF BIRTHING A REVIVAL ON THE CAMPUSES OF AMERICA TO AWAKEN THIS NATION ONCE AGAIN.

WE ARE HOLDING A 24 HOUR PRAYER ROOM AT UCLA THIS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY.
PLEASE KEEP UCLA IN YOUR PRAYERS AS WE ARE IN GREAT EXPECTATION FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT TO COME IN POWER AS HE IS ALREADY ALL OVER THE NATION RIGHT NOW.

Chapel continues in Hughes

WILMORE, KY—Monday morning the student body gathered for Chapel at 10 a.m. and the student-led chapel continues. Hundreds of students, faculty and staff, and even members of the surrounding community and Asbury Theological Seminary joined the praise, worship and prayer.

The image Students are committing their lives to Christ for the first time and scores of others are rededicating themselves to the Lord. Jesus is at the center of it all.

Wilmore freshman Michael Spann spent a total of 11 hours in Hughes Auditorium, praying and worshiping. Spann said that he and several other students have been meeting independently since early last term to pray for the college and for the Holy Spirit to move on the campus.

Asbury House of Prayer started in the original Asbury building on campus where generations of Asbury students have waited on God. Students have gathered and signed up to pray for the college independently. Currently, students have committed to more than 40 hours of prayer each week interceding for the college community

"My brother Travis [Spann, a senior] felt strongly that something great was going to happen and yesterday God's will just broke out. People were just yearning for God. I can't even describe it." Michael Spann said. "I didn't want to leave until I felt the Lord was in me the way He needed to be."

College President Dr. Paul Rader and his wife, Dr. Kay Rader, stayed in Hughes until after midnight. When they left, Dr. Rader said hundreds of students were still praying and praising.

"Following the morning chapel the altar was crowded with students seeking the Lord—two and three deep, with people praying in groups around the auditorium," he described. "Throughout the day there has been a beautiful awareness of the Holiness of God. Many students took off their shoes with a sense of standing on Holy ground. God is answering the passionate and persistent prayers of committed students who have been fasting and praying for weeks for this kind of spiritual breakthrough. We are all rejoicing in it."

Stu Smith, associate dean for campus ministries and campus chaplain, said that news of the chapel service spread throughout the surrounding areas, high schools and other local colleges. Students called friends and relatives throughout the world to have them pray for Asbury College.

"People were praying all over the world as God was moving here," Smith said.

Spann said he even heard that people off the streets of Wilmore just heard the music and were drawn to Hughes. "People want to be transformed and that's what attracted them to Hughes."

The music didn't stop. Smith said that when one group of students would tire from leading the worship another would move into their place. Nothing was coerced or planned.

Fitch's IGA in Wilmore and others in the community sent food and water for the students who couldn't leave.

Atlanta sophomore Hannah Helfen who spent several hours in Hughes yesterday said she didn't want to leave either. She says that God spoke to her in a different way. Typically not very outspoken, God told her that it was OK to be open about her faith and tell other people about Him.

Sophomore Ben Greenhoe from Ada, Mich., spent most of the day in Hughes recording the service. He said, "When God moves, you have to respond. There's nothing else you can do when you meet your Creator face to face like we did yesterday. There's nothing else that could bring that many people together from so many different backgrounds. And the fact that it is still going on now speaks volumes."

Lisa Harper, director of communications and Transforming (class of 2007) advisor said, "It was incredible to be in the midst of it all, praying with the students at the altar and witnessing the joy and sweet peace. If that's not what we're about here then I don't know what we're about."

Report from 40 Days of Prayer for Revival on College Campuses!

I don't know where to begin and I can't say I'll ever be able to capture all that I am feeling…

I had one goal this morning…to deliver a simple invitation to the entire student body who attended chapel (about 900 students this morning) to meet with the King in the amazing prayer room prepared by their peers. I asked (okay, maybe begged) every single student to come…to pray, to meet with God…everyone to come before the 48 hours ended…I told them stories from students I've met along the way—both the fired up hearts and the dim hearts. I told them I just couldn't bear to see one more unlit campus.

And since noon today—it is now almost 10pm as I sit outside the prayer room—almost 400 students have come through the doors by midnight and it hasn't let up—coats, book bags, and shoes/boots line the hallway to the double door entrance. (Even the cleaning crew peeks often down the hallway, amazed at the student traffic.)

THERE IS—and has been--NO ROOM to sit or kneel since noon. Journals are filling up. Walls are full. The paper stock for confession has been replenished over and over. A second "store run" for candles has been made.

Young men come in groups—I've been warned already that the wee hours are going to be filled with up to 80 menJ ! I've simply been unable to leave the room—every time I think I want to go home, another hour goes by with kids who want to pray with someone before they leave, or who have a story/testimony to share. Tears flow, you can hear the silent cry of hearts calling out to God—it is amazing, amazing, amazing!

Every student asks for more…more time with God in prayer. More prayer, more prayer. Heavy hearts are lighter as they leave. Smiles radiate. Is this revival? It is to me. It is to them. I've never seen anything like it! It is quiet, consistent, personal, powerful, and oh so exciting…everyone seems changed in some way. They don't want it to end. How will it not end? I say then, "Don't stop prayingJ !" Are you with me?

As I sit at the door like a little watchmanJ , I greet the first timers with the look of a proud mom, and snatch the ones departing and ask for a first hand report of their time with God. I am overwhelmed with joy—I've waited so long to see/feel/report this experience of kids coming home to Papa! They've come from dorm rooms, sports practice, RA meetings, classes—simply drawn by the Holy Spirit of the living God.

I've been asking students, "What did God say to you in the prayer room?" They say, "He broke me," then they smile through their tears. They say, "I heard Him speak to me." They say, "It's amazing in there." They say, "It was so good." They say, "He gave me a verse." They say, "I've come back again…I just didn't want to sit in my dorm room." They say, "He gave me a few things to work on." I've never seen so many tears and red eyes and runny noses…from sincere conversations—no preaching, no music—just talking with the King.

Amen? Amen? Look out CCUJ !

Be encouraged,

Becky

Are You Tired of Church As Usual?

Currently, I am reading the following books from Frank Viola. These are excellent books that are Biblicaly and historicaly acurate in regards to understanding the New Testament house church movement & how it can reform the way we do church today. These are must reads if you are seeking to understand the coming move of God in North America & why this generation is moving back and yet forward towards a decentralized movement of Christ-followers filling the earth and society with God's glory. Let the 2nd re-formation continue.... looking forward >>>>>

Reformation House of Prayer

REFORMATION HOUSE OF PRAYER (RHOP)

February 4th, 2006 is going to be a historical day in Los Angeles. The first city-wide 24/7 House of Prayer is going to be launched in LA - to pray for a new generation to arise and take their places to transform a society that is desperately in need of God. In this HOUSE ...

* We are going to contend for a student movement that will touch every student on every campus.
* We are going to contend for the Acts Church to be released in this moment in history.
* We are going to contend for the WELLS OF REVIVAL (Azusa Street - 1906) to be released in this day
- that the latter glory will be greater than the former.
* We are going to contend for a generation to fall in love with Jesus.

We believe that we are walking into a "DIVINE MOMENT" here in Los Angeles. God is stirring in the hearts of this generation to give their lives to prayer and worship. Here in Los Angeles - we are on the brink of catastrophic judgment (many prophets have warned of this in the past months). We are also on the brink of an unparalleled REVIVAL!! We are in a window of decision - and what comes forth in our land will be dictated by prayer and worship (or lack thereof).

We believe judgment is coming to Los Angeles UNLESS THERE IS A CONTENDING THRU PRAYER AND WORSHIP that has never been tapped into in this city before. We have seen God move thru Azusa Street, the Jesus Movement, Billy Graham Tent Meetings, etc. - but God wants us to go HIGHER. Unless there is a SUSTAINED, UNITED CRY for this generation ... 24/7 ... we are going to fall short of what God has intended and judgment will fall. We are living in such a critical hour ... this is why the Lord has led many of the leaders in this city ... the fathers and mothers of this generation to launch the REFORMATION HOUSE OF PRAYER (RHOP). The time is urgent - revival is ours if we will humble ourselves and pray ...

Come join us as we establish God's House in Los Angeles ...

Saturday, February 4th @ 530pm
Location: Union Church of Los Angeles, 401 E. 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90013

REFORMATION ... Nothing Less!!
