Theological Response to Lakeland Outpouring
Attached is a clear and Biblical response to the Lakeland Healing Revival and Outpouring from my friend Dr. Gary Greig (a theological expert) who edited my book. What he writes in this article will answer many of the questions and concerns that Christian leaders have had with Lakeland outpouring. I recommend you read the attached and pass it along as appropriate. I want to re-state that I support and encourage the Lakeland revival and what God is doing in this mighty move of the Holy Spirit. I do pray that we put our focus on Christ, the miracle working power that is wrought through His name and seek God's presence with purity and devotion. Lord Jesus send revival to this generation, pour it out wherever and whenever, may You revive us all to declare Your fame and name to all nations!
What is written here is balanced and theologically sound.
Blessings,
JMA

God bless you!
hey thanks a lot it really does lighten up things for me but didnt actually answer all the Qs i hav in mind. but thanks anyway
Jaeson,
I've read Dr. Greig's document and I have no problem with the scriptural references he uses to support his points. However, there are a few things that Dr. Grieg (and other advocates of Todd Bentley's ministry) does not address:
1) The significant lack of scriptural reference in his messages. On his org. homepage (www.freshfire.ca), the "Statement of Faith" lists "The Word of God" as #1, yet listen to the content of his messages and there's very little focus on it.
2) His actions regarding offering: where in scripture is it rooted? Check out this link: http://www.howtobecomeamissionary.com/todd-bentley-mp3-audio-please-dont-be-a-huckster/
3) His focus on self: he tells people if they want anointing, they should "come and get some". Doesn't anointing come from God? Why do people need to be at Lakeland in order to seek God's anointing?
I'd really be interested to hear what you or Dr. Grieg thinks about these things.
Great music and great contribution. You are so chosen by Him.
