Awesome, been listening to your messages in for the past couple days. I download it put it in my iPod, listen to it at school.

You're a inspiration, also, my youth pastor (sort of.. He's roommates with my Youth pastor, so I guess he is my youth pastor as well :D. His name is Abe-Gin). He told me you changed his life :D. I just wanted to thank you for surrendering yourself to Jesus and letting Him transform you and let Him speak through you :D

God Bless

-Jin Yi

*P.S.-- I would like to get a chance to talk to you. So if you don't mind like when your free. Can you e-mail me back at nifear4@gmail.com

i dont wanna knock what you're doing, but i don't believe in organized religion. i was raised in church, and i have about 2304948505802385028502385028502850285023458205820584025824308520435 problems with it.

for one thing, i think the whole not straying from the path of righteousness inevitably destroys the path because there is such an overemphasis on "sins," that it conjours this recognition of "yes, we're sinners, but god's grace is sufficient, amen," default, but really displaces true compassion, love, understanding etceteras that this acknowledgment attempts to promote. look at ted haggard the preacher, his "sins" are perceived as sins, thus his wrongdoing is mulplied times kajillion, he's no longer just some guy who is a meth user that had frequent homosexual sex. he's a "righteous" person that is a meth user and has frequent homosexual sex. i'm not ssaying his sins seem harsher because he used to be a pastor, but i am saying his consequences are. he's probably gay because of some deep rooted intimacy issues that date back to his own relationship with his parents, how is that a sin? it's a tragedy, i understand that and acknowledge his sexual preference for what i think it is, the product of a dysfunctional background, psychological/emotional imbalance and etceteras. i don't believe homosexuality is genetic, i think it is the byproduct of environment through the formative years (but that's my opinion, still i afford more understanding and grace than someone who chooses to call it despicable or abominable in the eyes of god) Ironic as it is, he probably didn't receive enough "love" as a child. I understand that so i don't judge him as a sinner. i judge him as the product of an environment. But because he himself has preached that homosexuality according to the bible is a sin, will have to contend a hundred fold the response to his "sins" than if he was not in a religion that supposedly promotes love and understanding and than condemns "sin." christians i think take the acknowledgement as the precursor to love, but i have found little "love" at church, i have found people that act like they "love," but really don't. this isn't the people are "fake" at church thing. what i'm saying is, in all honesty, church goers are the ones with the least compassion. there is little understanding, little empathy, little willingness to really listen -before trying to relate it to the gospel, f^&* that. what about the people in ted's congregation? they all listened to what he preached, now they find out he's the antithesis of everything he purportedely lived for, so what does that mean? he was blessed with the holy spirit to preach only when he wasn't having sex with another man? the holy spirit was with him only at choice times? the thing that bugs me is every parishioner in his congregation believed they were being touched by the holy spirit through his sermons..that belief it seems, can now be applied to anybody, anything given enough dramatics, charisma, popularity, etceteras. what about bush? a bunch of my christian relatives supported his decision to go to war, they said he's with god, bush prays everyday...so isn't he supposed divinely blessed? aren't his decision backed up by God's wisdom? apparently this is one of those plans from God that you realize will work out for the better in hindsite...230495802 years later. that's just a little of why i don't go to church. i believe in a god, a creator, but i doubt we would be doing him/her/it any justice if we didn't utilize the intelligence they gave us to not question absurdities around us. in all honesty, i dont think human beings possess the intelligence to really comprehensively understand a god, a creator entity, and so we assign to it what our faculties are capable of understanding so i don't think religions, christianity really work. They're faulty to begin with because they originate from our own perceptions, our own understandings of things around us, because that's all the reference we have.. which already by default is not a lot.

Hey Jaes,
I just wanted to encourage you that you are amazing...
What God has spoken to you will come to pass. Do not be discouraged in doing good. Victory is around the corner. Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies it bears no fruit, but if it does it produces a harvest. Your life is that seed. Your calling is sure. And your harvest will be a world wide generation. You just have that Jeremiah 1 calling and are way ahead of the game. Enjoy the process. Rest in the journey. 2007 promises life. The winter is passed, the spring is here. Expect life. Expect 7-fold what the enemy tried to steal. There is honor for you in heaven, and there is honor for you on earth. Thank you for giving Him your all and letting Him be your all in all.

A student in Kumming, China
